(Optional Attachment) - for Concept2 rowing machines only

This optional attachment simulates the balance needed for rowing in a boat.

Two small triangular brackets with pivot pins are screwed onto the original channel and a second channel with slots is placed 1.5” above the original channel, pivoting on the pins like a seesaw.

The feet of the erg are placed onto the seesaw channels, just as they would be placed on the original channel. The erg will then be slightly higher on this seesaw.  The rower will be required to balance themselves, similar to a sculler on the water.

Springs are attached under each end of the seesaw, which helps to keep the erg from tipping over.  Support strength is adjustable by moving the position of these springs inward (for less balance) or outward (for more balance) on the channel.

The main benefit of this attachment is to replicate rowing, in a boat, on water.  Using a rowing machine with this attachment turns your workout into a totally different beast.  Not only do you have forward and backward movement, but now you are also rocking left to right.

Another benefit of using the tilt attachment is the engagement of the stabilizing muscle groups around the spine and abdomen. These muscles will now be activated during your rowing workout.

We are currently working on a WaterRower Tilt Attachment

If you would like to use the tilt attachment with another brand of rowing machine, please let us know
